Hello Ohio,
As we get to know each other, I continue to be asked the normal questions that politicians are always asked when running for office. These questions are always asked so we voters can try to choose the candidate that we think will most likely vote the way we would vote if we only had the chance to vote. That is not working for us! We should have the right to either, vote, or have our wishes carried out through our representatives. What a great idea, don't you think? That is not happening!
It will not be an issue if our views are not the same in this election. The reason for that is simple; I will always vote your views because that will be my job! That's what I want to do.
Some time between the year 1776, and lets say, when I graduated from high school in 1966, "We The People", lost our being represented by our politicians. I don't know why but I know it happened. The lack of representation continued to grow to the point it is today. We now have some really important decisions being made for our sake even if it's against our wishes. That's not working for us. It is just wrong!
If elected your next United States Senator, I will vote your wishes regardless of what my view may be. I believe the opinion of the majority of the 12 million or so people in Ohio will always be better than the opinion of only the two senators that represent you. Don't you?
Talk to you soon,
Dave
