Today’s technology in communication leaves very little reason to have no communication between the people of Ohio, and our senators.  The one obvious reason is because our senators do not want it.  I don’t think any of us voted for our senators so they can take our votes and run to Washington and hide from us for six years making decisions without, and sometimes against our approval.  What’s with that?

I find this unacceptable behavior for someone we trusted with our votes.  Party candidates have been doing this for so long they must think that’s what we want.

I realize there are parts of a senate job that only requires good common sense decisions made after hearing testimony in such cases as appointment, or impeachment, etc.  The decisions that directly affect the people of their state should be done using the approval of the majority of the people.

Democrats and Republicans as well, have been ignoring their constituents for way to long to expect them to change.  This is not about “Left”, or “Right”, it’s about representing the people of our state.

The only reason that communication has not been set up to report the views of the people of Ohio to them, is because our senators, and representatives have not wanted to know our views.  They are very happy voting their personal agenda and not being concerned what, we the people want.

Those days are over!  If you don’t want to represent your constituents, get out of the way and I’ll take over and show you how our government is supposed to work… “For The People”, and by the people.

I am offering the people of Ohio a chance to expect more from their next senator.  I would not be running as an independent candidate if I didn’t think I could win your votes to become your next United States Senator.

I want your vote to elect a senator that is not afraid to stand up to anyone so we can have the type of government that is truly ruled by the people as granted by the Constitution of the United States.  I, Dave Myers, will be that senator!

I would like to leave you with a question to think about.

Think about as many United States Senators as you can.  Then, try to figure out what state each of them represents.  Make sure you include our two senators from Ohio.

When was the last time you heard any of them say something like…”the people of my state wants me to vote this way?”  I’ve been waiting a long time for that.

That’s what I want to change.  With your help, I will.

Talk to you soon,

Dave
